Brush Collection
Mar 11, 2025
To enhance the appearance of the community, the Township provides free brush pick up to its residents. Weather permitting, pickup will begin in mid-April and end the last week of September. Please note, brush pickup can be delayed by weather or road project emergencies. Watch for notifications on our website, www.spfldtwp.org.

Brush Collection typically begins the middle of April and ends the last week of September.

1. Brush is to be placed within 10 feet of the road or curb with the cut ends toward the road. Do
not pile on roads or sidewalks.
2. Brush pile should be of a size that the road crew can pick up in a reasonable amount of time
(20 minutes or less or based on the Road Superintendent’s discretion).
3. Brush pile shall not contain any stumps, anything with roots, or root ball still attached.
4. Brush pile shall not contain any trash, metals, wire, concrete or any solid waste materials.
5. Limbs shall be no larger than five (5) inches in diameter.
6. Limbs should not be cut into small pieces. Larger pieces work better with the chipper.
7. Limbs/branches smaller than 12 inches in length should be place in an open container.
8. There should be no mixing of the leaf and brush piles.
9. Limbs/stumps/branches left from a hired commercial tree service will not be collected.

The Road Superintendent shall inform residents if they are not complying with the Brush policy.

You do not need to call to schedule your brush pick up. The Crew drives a continuous route throughout the Township.
