All properties within Springfield Township must be maintained in accordance with Resolution 2014-113 which prohibits grass or weeds of a height of 18 inches or greater. Should the owner of the property fail to comply with Resolution 2014-113, the Township will cause the weeds/grass to be cut at the owner’s expenses based upon the formal grass abatement procedure set forth in the Ohio Revised Code #505.87. Any expense the Township incurs in the abatement process will be entered on the property’s tax duplicate and become a lien on the property.
It is unlawful for the owner of property within the Township to allow overgrown in weeds, grass or vegetation beyond the height of 18 inches.

Springfield Township partnered with Clark-Shawnee School District in the Township's first ever "Paint the Plow" program. The goal was to promote winter driving safety while giving local students an opportunity to showcase their artwork on one of the Township snow blades.
Clark-Shawnee students submitted their designs to Brigitte Williams, 7th-12th Fine Art & Videography Educator. Ms. Williams submitted the entries to the Township and the Trustees selected the winning design in October.
Thank you to all those that participated. Congratulations to Darcey Willmeth, Winning Artist, 9th grade student at Clark-Shawnee and Abby Reardon, 10th grade student at Clark-Shawnee; and Vivian Ranger-DeWell, 10th grade student contributing artists.
Watch for the painted blade on one of the Township's snow plows during winter snow removal. Remember, “Braves Say Stay Safe”.
